Butterfly Heaven

Over the last few weeks the children have been learning about butterflies.

We made a butterfly garden and the children have been observing the transition of chrysalis to butterfly and finally had the chance to let them out in the garden. It was a sight to behold!

Jubilee Preparations in Sevenoaks

The children in our Chevening nursery were preparing for the Jubilee this week and started off by making crowns. Sticking, cutting and gluing kept them occupied while they perfected their designs….

The Week Ahead At Pipkins Nurseries – Gillingham

CCTV at Gillingham

We are making a number of changes at our nursery in Gillingham and you will soon be seeing CCTV cameras being installed.

There is no legal requirement to have CCTV however after looking at different options and acting on OFSTED advice, we have made the decision to install it.

Some Feathered Friends

The children couldn’t contain their egg-citement with some visitors this week!

One of the parents brought in some chickens and our toddlers were mesmerised by them. They were surprised at how soft chickens feathers really were and enjoyed stroking our new feathered friends.

Making Music

The Three Little Pigs

Keeping up with the construction theme at Gillingham, we gave the pre schoolers some cardboard boxes. They spent the morning happily covering their ‘houses’ with the sticks, straw and brick prints on the boxes we provided and had great fun constructing homes for the Three Little Pigs.

The Week ahead at Pipkins Nurseries

This week the build at the nursery in Gillingham has taken over and the theme is construction!! Our Preschoolers and Jungle Room children will be building and constructing their own little offices…. the babies this week will be concentrating on creative development and listening to and making different sounds.
